Would you rather save some money and DIY?
I do understand that web designer fees can seem a bit high, but the knowledge of how to go about building a website and coding a website that will be most effective for your business is not easy to come by.
I can let you pick my brain so that you can build your website yourself and leave some money in your pocket. I only charge $45 per hour as a web consultant and I will spend about 1-3 hours helping you go through the steps of setting up your own website.
- Getting a domain name – ( i.e. StartLogic, BlueHost, JustHost )
- Purchasing a hosting account
- Setting up WordPress
- Configuring WordPress for SEO
- Creating pages for your website
- Creating a blog
- Choosing a WordPress Theme
- Installing Helpful plug-ins
- Creating Contact Forms
- Setting up your hosts e-mail account
- Utilizing an FTP Program Like Filezilla
Above all, I will still recommend that you hire a professional to build your website.
For example, I want a pool in my backyard. I don’t have all of the knowledge and tools it requires do the job properly. I think I can do a fair amount of work to make it look like a pool, but it won’t have the same effect of what a professional could build. I’m a web designer. I’ll stick to my profession and higher a professional pool builder. Then I know the job will be done right and I’ll be able to focus on what I do best, make money building websites. Instead of loosing money by chewing up valuable time learning a new profession.
